Where the gravel starts, the signal often ends. NavX4 stores map and place search for whole countries and regions on your phone, in Europe routing as well, and calculates the route without signal. Online it plans across Europe.

Offline packages

In the Android app you pick packages from 384 regions worldwide, sorted by continent and country. Each holds the map and search for places, streets and addresses, the packages in Europe routing as well. The app shows the size before you download. Contour lines and the elevation profile work without signal too.

What is different offline

  • Routes calculated offline carry no surface data and no avoidances; they are marked “Calculated offline” and may differ from the online route.
  • Loops are online only.
  • Community closure reports and official closures are not known offline.
  • Kilometres driven offline count as road kilometres; they earn no offroad points.

Travelling in Europe

Online, NavX4 calculates routes across Europe. For 37 countries it carries rules on driving in forests, fields and on unpaved roads with their legal source and shows them for every country on the route; countries without stored rules get a note too. The Android app is available in ten languages, eight of them machine translated.

Plan calmly at home, download the package and test a route in flight mode before you set off.
