Navigation for hunters and foresters

If you drive into the forest for work or with permission, you need navigation that knows forestry roads without offering every forest track to everyone. In NavX4 forestry, hunting, farm and fishing tracks enter the route only when you switch on the matching permission.

Permissions, not a free pass

In the terrain options you switch on the permissions you hold: forestry, agriculture, hunting or fishing. Only then does NavX4 use roads that the map marks as open to those groups. The app does not verify the permission, it reminds you of it. Whoever switches it on is responsible.

Without a permission NavX4 avoids these roads, as for everyone else.

In the forest without signal

With offline packages the Android app calculates routes without signal and finds places and addresses; packages with map and place search cover 384 regions worldwide, with routing in Europe as well. Contour lines and relief help in the terrain. Satellite imagery can be downloaded ahead, for an area or just along the route.

Places, waypoints and directions

Save your own places with a symbol and a category and use them as destinations. Waypoints alert you as you get close. Share a route to a meeting point as a link so others find their way. In a group you share your position voluntarily, only for the running trip.

What NavX4 is not

  • NavX4 is not hunting ground management: no boundaries, no list of high seats, no game records and no wildlife accident reports.
  • No forestry business features and no forest rescue points.
  • No tractor profile; for farm vehicles only permissions and dimensions help.
  • No iPhone app.
The sign on site winsNavX4 reads map data and does not guarantee that a road is permitted or passable. Signs, orders and property rights on site always come first.

Frequently asked questions

May hunters drive on forestry roads?

That depends on your permission, for example from the hunting lease or the forest owner, and on the law of the country. NavX4 uses hunting and forestry tracks only when you switch on the permission, and does not verify it.

Is there navigation for forestry roads?

NavX4 routes over forestry roads when you switch on the forestry permission. Without it, it avoids roads that the map marks as open to forestry only.

Does it work in the forest without signal?

Yes, in the Android app with a downloaded offline package for the region. Without a package the app needs a connection.

Can I manage my hunting ground with NavX4?

No. NavX4 helps you get there over permitted roads and remember places. Boundaries, high seats and game records are not part of it.
